Saint Thyagaraja Aradhana/Festival – 2024
Namaste to all members, patrons, and esteemed art lovers of Shruthi Adelaide,
It gives us immense pleasure to announce the continuation of our tradition with the Annual Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival. This event holds a special place in our hearts as we come together to celebrate the profound legacy of the great composers and their timeless compositions.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming festival scheduled from 10 AM to 12.30 PM at the Shree Ganesha Temple Community Hall in Oaklands Park.
Our program this year promises to be a spectacular showcase of devotion and musical excellence, paying homage to the revered composers whose devotion has gifted us with invaluable musical treasures. The festival is not merely an event but a journey through the vibrant tapestry of classical music that has shaped our cultural heritage.
In keeping with tradition, the event will commence with a traditional ‘Uncha Vrithi’ along with a Ganapathi Keerthana, setting the auspicious tone for the festivities. You will also experience the enchanting Nagara Sankeerthana around the temple premises, featuring talented young singers and local renowned artist’s rendering melodies of various composers.
Additionally, there will be a captivating Bharatanatyam dance performance by an upcoming artist, choreographed to a kriti based on Lord Rama, adding a visual dimension to the musical extravaganza.
A highlight of the event will be the collective rendition of the Pancharatna Kritis, a cherished tradition where we unite to pay homage to Saint Thyagaraja and connect with the essence of the celestial world through these divine compositions.
We extend a warm invitation to all the patrons of Shruthi who share our enthusiasm for preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. Your participation can make a significant difference, whether through financial support to cover event expenses or by volunteering your time and efforts during the festival.
Let us come together in unity and devotion to honour the legacy of Saint Thyagaraja and revel in the splendour of classical music.
Looking forward to your gracious presence at the Annual Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival
