On the 19 January 2020 Shruthi Adelaide – Supported – Adelaide Tamil Association (ATA) to celebrated Pongal Festival in Bonython  park in Adelaide, South Australia. Pongal is a popular harvest festival that has been celebrated for several centuries in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu and across the world by the Tamil speaking community. “Shruthi takes pride in associating with ATA in celebrating this Pongal Festival every year” said Mr Narayana Rai – President – Shruthi Adelaide for 2020.

The  grand event was celebrated with big pomp and splendor and started with the Chief Guest lighting the lamp. The dignitaries  who attended the festival were Hon David Pisoni- Minister for innovation & skills, Hon Rachel Sanderson – Minister for Child Protection, Dana Wortley – Member for Torrens representing Assistant Minister and Russell Wortley MLC
